"A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder." - Thomas Carlyle.

Image result for thomas carlyle  Many other individuals in the world have goals in mind that they dream of accomplishing one day not only in their fantasies but in reality. The day we all accomplish the goals that either others or we have set for us would not only be a miracle but a mundane day. In my interpretation of the quote above is how, we are a  speck apart of society no let us think bigger, the galaxy, if we weren't to live with goals in our mundane lives or non-mundane, were would we actually be. Okay, that's a discussion that I would need to have for another day, but for now, let's keep it basic and on topic with the given examples. One of the many examples that were shown to us in class today was the man who wanted to be the best basketball player in his town or even in the state if he could. His goal was that but not only to be the best or starter but he had small goals as well. they were practicing every moment that he could get in to practice his drills to improve and speed. His name was Nick Straskus, a man from Michigan college.  Nick accomplished his goals and lived a very easy life for awhile till he realized that these goals got him here and decided to make new goals. Just like everyone else, in the words of Thomas Carlyle.

Do you think you would like to become one? Why or Why not?
This career is very interesting and an amazing career to be a part of. Sadly, for me, it isn't since I don't like working in a hospital atmosphere. I have a slight phobia of a hospital atmosphere, and working there wouldn't help me at all I would be more concern with the are than my duties. In other words, be panicking about the atmosphere and the rush of a trauma nurse wouldn't help me or anyone.

"Start daydreaming."-Allie Santizo

Image result for split personalities I as an individual, a daughter, a sister, and many other labels, I have learned new ways to daydream and the benefits of it. Not only, does it take us away and makes us feel like a rare cup of tea. But, it pulls us away to think and to recall everything that we did. Yet, to be discovered and
our brains and thoughts take a break question everything. Which in the end you are no longer programmed to be the same and you are now able to look at everything with a different perspective. I believe when an individual is rewired while daydreaming they have more opportunities and are more open-minded. For instance, a split personality( the medical term is known for dissociative identity disorder0 is a perfect example of how fascinating it is to start daydreaming. One of their personalities are a young fifteen-year-old girl that has anxiety problems, and overthinks think all the time. Which allows her to lose control of everything and have mental breakdowns, and put her self down a lot. Another personality is the 13-year-old girl who is always is cheerful and has no care in the world, with nothing but happy smiles. This girl only smiles and smiles and smiles as if that's the only thing that she can do and bring joy to people faces. These two personalities are both many of the ones that define this one girl, and for her not to be daydreaming and losing her self in her thoughts and questioning everything she will be stuck. And for good loose what makes her and her identity. Like many individuals like this girl will never be able to show the true light of day that is hidden beneath all of her personalities. We need to truly start daydreaming, to find the missing sunlight a sunflower needs, to call by its name.

It wasn't until 1967 that it was legally named Memorial Day. Many of other towns and cities said that they are the ones who were the originators of Memorial Day. But, in 1966 Congress declared Waterloo, New York, to be the birthplace of the holiday.
6. What are a few things you will do on Memorial Day to show honor and respect?
A few things that I would do is take time out of my day to remember and thank those men and women who served our beloved country.
Write a reflection of at least 8 sentences about your thoughts and feelings of Memorial Day.
After learning more about the background and more information about Memorial Day. I found out more interesting information about how to respect and honor this holiday, and the background of where it originated from. I feel respect for the families that lost a loved one at war and even more respect for those who are and were serving.

" If there is beauty in character,
there will be harmony, in the home.
If there is harmony in the home,
there will be order in the nation.
If there is order in the nation,
there will be peace in the world.
Conclusion:
If there is beauty in character,
there will be peace in the world."
-Chinese proverb

In my personal opinion of this quote, I don't think that if the guidelines above that are so simple, can make a huge difference. I understand the concept of things takes time, don't get me wrong; also how a large number of things make a difference. But, the odds of bringing peace to the world at least to me will never come to that day, we will be close to it but never really. Sorry, if I sound like the cruel person to say this but in the world, we do need violence and protesting is only used when we want to get our point across and you aren't listening to us. Now, I'm not saying all protesting or violence is good, but the balance is needed and on the scale, there's always good and bad not only good. Noone is truly 100% percent of the time good or like my teacher says ctr (choose the right) 24/7 we all are different percentages of good and bad. And that's okay and the ones in the society(also known as all of us) we want others to choose the good and for lack of better works to have peace in everything we do. For instance, if we're to forgive everything bad that we have done to ourselves or that other individuals have done the list will go one forever. And not only forever but the odds of them proceeding to keep on hurting you or you hurting yourself will never stop. It may not be as huge as bullying but small things like comments or remarks made that we don't realize. That's what life is and what the world is, not peace. We are both good and bad, peace and destructive, yes and no. I believe that the world should have more peace but not to the point to where there's no violence otherwise that would be a whole another world.

Do you think you would like to be one? Why or why not?
I don't think I would like to become one because I don't think I would enjoy working with physical injuries that people have encountered with. I love the idea of helping by physical injuries aren't my specialty.

"When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive."-Alan Paton

Image result for louis zamperiniOur teacher showed us a clip of a movie that we forever touch our broken hearts, and remind us of the most memorable time in history that shaped not only, the world but one individual at a time. The clip was from a well-known movie that was released the year of 2014, Unbroken. The movie was not only based on the horrible time in the history of the war but focused on a young man named Louis Zamperini and his story. No matter how much they tortured him in Japan as a prisoner or the waves of the Pacific ocean. They would torture him, of starvation, hygiene, labor, and etc.. He still wouldn't stand with them if they told him to feed the public ears with lies. The thing he is well known for other than being an Olympian, survining in the  World War II he forgave them. He had flown to Japan to forgive the general that would torture him day and night. And he lived by this quote of how holding a grudge and not being able to forgive the one that hurt you will not do any good to neither of you. Do the right thing, forgive those who have hurt you no matter if you aren't able to. Becuase deep down you will feel good.
