Pediatrician

Duties and responsibilities:

    An pediatrician tasks  involve providing medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. The responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, and treating children with wide variety of injuries and illnesses. Also , administer the many immunizations  that are available to protect children from disease such as hepatitis B, diphtheria, polio, measles, and mumps. The most important tasks are routine check ups with intent of monitoring a child's growth and development form birth to adulthood.

Salary: $175,400

Education requirements:

   You will need to earn a doctoral degree, such as a Doctor of Medicine. You enter the pediatrics residency program, which lasts at least three years. You will also need to pass a national exam; other requirements vary by state.

Demand or need for this particular career:

   The key skills needed for this career are critical thinking, active listening, and deductive reasoning. The work environment is healthcare facility, or private office.

 After conducting research and learning more about this profession I have come to the concluding statement , that I don't think I would like to be an pediatrician. My dream profession is to be someone who study's human behavior and social experiments. This career is phenomenal, but it doesn't meet my criteria or interest me in any way.

Pathologist

Duties and Responsibilities:
Pathologists responsibilities  are to use bodily fluids and tissues to help study, diagnose, and treat diseases. They work in many medical settings, performing research and patient tests, and often collaborating with other professionals in their field. Might perform autopsies to determine a cause of death.
Salary: $191,945
Education:
The educational requirements for an pathologist are a doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy, a 4 pathology residency, 1-2 year optional pathology fellowship, and a state medical license; pathology board certification.
Demand for this Particular Career:
The skills required for an pathologist are excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure and make quick, accurate decisions, to be good at recognizing visual patterns, good problem solving skills, and the ability to put people at their ease and inspire trust and confidence.

I still think after researching and learning more and more about the career of an pathologist, I wouldn't want to be one. The reason why is because the career I want to be is one that studies human behavior and not study what's on the inside of one. This career doesn't interest me at all, but it is a good career for someone else other than me.

Orthopedic Surgeon

Duties and Responsibilities: 
The following are the job duties and the responsibilities of an orthopedic surgeon they treat patients with skeletal injuries and diseases, perform orthopedic surgeries as per established guidelines, monitor and record patient's symptoms progress according to documentation guidelines, educate patients about treatment procedures, communicate with patients to obtain their medical history,  address patient and staff concerns in a timely manner, attend regular staff meetings to discuss about  any issues or updates, and guide clinical staffs in their assigned job duties. 
Salary:    $519,000
Education:
They will have to complete a 4-year bachelor's degree program in biology, pre medicine or a related field. They must also complete an additional four years of medical school followed by four to five year orthopedic surgery residency in a hospital 
Demand for this particular career:
The skills that are required are the following the ability to lead and manage a team effectively, physical stamina to cope with the demands of surgery, emotional resilience, a calm temperament and the ability to work well under pressure, good organizational ability and effective decision -making skills, excellent communication skills to deal with a wide range of colleagues, patients and their families, and a high degree of manual dexterity.

After researching this career  still believe that this career isn't right for me because it isn't my dream career. the reason why is because I don't like surgery and i don't think I would be fit for tis job. My dream career is to be a psych major and not a medical one. I don't think that it would be interesting for me to continue studying and working in this career.

Optometrist

Optometrist


Duties and Responsibilities: 
Optometrist duties include the following, perform vision tests and analyze results, diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and eye diseases, such as glaucoma, perform minor surgical procedures to correct or treat visual or eye health issues, provide treatments such as vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation , and promote eye and general health by counseling patients. 
Salary: $106,140
Education:
They will need an O.D. degree, and a bachelors degree, and the requirements for an O.D. degree.
Demand for this particular career:
Important qualities for this career are decision making skills, detail oriented, interpersonal skills, and speaking skills. They will also an license/ certifications/ registrations.

After researching what an optometrists career and their responsibilities. I've made my decision and that's that I don't want to be one for many reasons. One of them is that its not related to  my dream career or any of my interests. I don't think I will work will with helping people with their eye sight or working with people's eyes for that matter alone. It just isn't me and it doesn't seem at all interesting to me or worth entering this field for me.
