" Presidents Day"
1. President's Day is a day where we honor and remember the famously known presidents, like Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. We take a moment of silence to remember the tragedy, war, and the great achievements that these presidents faced. No matter if they ere in the past or the present, we all liked to honor them and be grateful for them.
2. President's Day was originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington's birthday, by the federal government. His actual birthday is on the 22 of February, and it became popular know as the Presidents Day after it was moved as part of 1971's Uniform Monday Holiday Act. And the mid 1800's Washington's Birthday was known to many Americans as Presidents Day.
3. The are many ways to display your honor and respect to this holiday. The districts alone they show their respect and honor by giving the day of to students, staff, teachers, and etc.. so they can celebrate the holiday of remembrance. Other ways to honor are to say the pledge of allegiance, fly a flag, learn about their history, participate in events, and visit some cites where they display the remembrance.
4. I can show honor and respects by learning about the history, pledge of allegiance, and participate in the events to honor and respect the holiday. I can also help inform others on why this holiday is to be celebrate and why we have to celebrate it and show honor and respect. Because to me I like informing others on the importance of things I believe in and think are worthy.
6. Lastly, some other interesting facts is that president day is not celebrated around the world by every country.
